"Mushin"

"Mushin" is the pictorial expression of the Zen concept of "empty mind."

In this state of non-thought, action (or art, in this case) emerges spontaneously, pure and unforced. The gray, textured brushstrokes represent the background noise of daily life and the dualistic world, from which a flash of gold light emerges: the Mushin. The gold is the pure action, the essence that manifests the moment the mind is completely free and open. The artwork is an invitation to meditation, a visual reminder to let thought flow in order to discover the inherent brilliance that resides in everything around us.

Technique & Materials: Acrylic on canvas, finished with gold leaf and high-texture detailing for a sculptural, three-dimensional structure. 30x40

"Mushin" è l'espressione pittorica del concetto Zen di "mente vuota".

In questo stato di non-pensiero, l'azione (o l'arte, in questo caso) emerge spontaneamente, pura e non forzata. Le pennellate materiche grigie rappresentano il rumore di fondo della quotidianità e del mondo duale, dal quale emerge un lampo di luce dorata: il Mushin. L'oro è l'azione pura, l'essenza che si manifesta nell'istante in cui la mente è completamente libera e aperta. L'opera è un invito alla meditazione, un monito visivo a lasciar fluire il pensiero per scoprire la brillantezza intrinseca che risiede nelle cose che ci circondano.
